On July 8, the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan took place at the Palace of the Republic
The Palace of the Republic hosted the official opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Belarus. Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Marat Markov noted the high pace of development of creative industries, which are actively growing in both states, and added that he admires the latest legislative norms adopted in Uzbekistan:
— There is proper regulation of the cultural sphere, and this contributes to the development of new creative directions.
Marat Markov believes that there is no rivalry between our countries in the cultural sphere:
— Culture is a unique area where there is no competition. We have exclusively friendship, partnership, and mutual enrichment. We will certainly share all the best from each of our countries in order to develop together. Such strategic partnership is important to us.
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov drew attention to the successes of our countries in literary and cultural cooperation and spoke about further plans:
— We would like to interact with the Belarusian people in absolutely all areas of culture — cinema, theatre, musical creativity, including the development of digital technologies. This is what modern Uzbekistan needs. We are also ready to share our achievements. Such people's diplomacy will benefit both countries.
Today, the guests of the ceremony were presented with a gala concert of masters of arts of Uzbekistan. In the foyer of the Palace of the Republic, an art exhibition and an exposition of folk applied crafts were arranged.
