Belarusian State Academy of Music solemnly opened its academic building after restoration. The historic building, which is the hallmark of the country's music education, has been given a new lease of life.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Vladimirovna Petkevich addressed the students and faculty of the academy with a welcoming speech:

«We did everything possible to help your talent flourish, and the state's implementation of this project is not about money, but about the feeling of being in demand. Each of you — future and current musicians, teachers — should feel how much you are needed by the country and its people. This place is filled with soul so that you can create.»

Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Alexandrovich Sarakach emphasised the importance of preserving architectural heritage and creating modern conditions for the development of young people:

«The government attaches special importance to the development of culture, and therefore we faced a challenging mission — to preserve the hall's distinctive character and acoustic perfection, while at the same time enriching it with new solutions. I am convinced that we have accomplished this task brilliantly.»
