A ceremony honoring state symbols was held in Minsk on May 10.
A ceremony honoring the state symbols with the participation of Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin took place in Minsk at the State Flag Square.
The event, dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem, and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, was attended by representatives of youth, military-patriotic classes and clubs, public associations, labor collectives, cadets, and military personnel.
Simultaneously with the start of the event, a procession with the flag was organized from the “Minsk – Hero City” stele to the State Flag Square. The flag was carried by well-known figures from culture, sports, and the media.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the anthem of the Republic of Belarus was played, after which Aleksandr Turchin read out the greetings of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to his compatriots.
Since 2021, a solemn ritual of swearing allegiance to the state symbols has been held. The event takes place in a youth-oriented format and aims to instill in citizens a sense of pride in their country.
In the capital, on behalf of the younger generation, the oath of allegiance to the state symbols was taken by youth representatives from all regions and from Minsk.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by a vocal-choreographic composition and a concert featuring flag-show elements.
