Neglyubka textile tradition of Vetka district has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
The 20th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is being held in New Delhi, India, from December 8 to 13, 2025.
The session is considering the inclusion of elements from participating countries in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists, including the Belarusian element "Neglyubka Textile Tradition of Vetka District," which is in need of urgent protection.
The nomination file, which received a positive opinion from the UNESCO Evaluation Body on the relevant criteria, was approved on December 9, 2025. Thus, the number of Belarusian elements on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists reached 7.
